Underground Storage Tanks

Underground storage tanks (“USTs”) or ancillary equipment associated with USTs are common point sources of soil, ground water, and/or chemical vapor impacts. Causes of releases from UST systems range from corrosion to equipment failure; however, overfilling of the USTs and poor dispensing practices can also lead to soil and ground water contamination. Roberts personnel have decommissioned hundreds of USTs and understand regulatory sampling and analysis requirements to properly close UST systems.

Roberts can decommission UST systems and complete necessary pre- and post-closure notification and reporting obligations. In the event of a release, Roberts is also equipped to quickly delineate impacts to soil and ground water and complete appropriate reporting responsibilities on behalf of our clients.
