Soil & Ground Water Investigations
Roberts has extensive capabilities and experience in delineating soil and ground water contamination. Our experience ranges from delineation of relatively simple petroleum impacted facilities to investigations of complex chlorinated volatile organic compound (“VOC”) impacts. Investigations associated with chlorinated VOCs require the development of a detailed work plan for both horizontal and vertical delineation of subsurface impacts, which often includes utilization of vertical aquifer screening (“VAS”) methods. Roberts has developed detailed work plans for chlorinated VOC sites that employ accurate geologic and aquifer screening methods. With our wealth of experience in delineating impacted media and our in-house sampling equipment, Roberts is able to quickly respond to the investigation needs of our clients. Some aspects of our investigation capabilities are highlighted below:
- Licensed Professional Geologists
- Licensed Indiana Water Well Drillers
- Company-Owned In-House Geoprobe® 6620DT
- Installation of Temporary or Permanent Ground Water Monitoring Wells
- SP16 Ground Water Sampling
- MacroCore® and Dual Tube Sampling
- Hydrogeologic Evaluations & Ground Water Flow Calculations
- Ground Water Flow Modeling
- Photo & Flame Ionization Detectors
- Low Flow Sampling Equipment
- Multiple Types of Pumps for Ground Water Sampling
- Detailed Work Plans and Reports with Detailed Maps, Figures, & Tables
- Rapid Mobilization and Turnaround
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPPER Trained Personnel
- Site Specific Health and Safety Plans (“HASPs”)
- Quality Assurance Project Plans (“QAPPs”)
Our team leverages these assets to study any existing data, develop an investigation work plan, complete the specified sampling activities, and then compile a technical report detailing our findings. Roberts has also been retained to collect confirmation samples near the location of previous samples collected by others in order to validate or refute the previous data.
